I grew up in the Midwest in Madison, Wisconsin and Chicago, Illinois. Athletically, I began water skiing at age three, and
competing at age seven. At age nine, I placed second in state in the slalom event and later helped take my university's ski
team to their first national tournament ever. I also played soccer for various teams around Chicago including the Chicago
Wind S.C., one of the premier club teams in the Midwest.
I graduated from Baylor University in 2006 with a degree in religion and history. After a brief period teaching classes
at a social service agency in Texas, I spent time traveling internationally before moving to Colorado. After a season in Breckenridge,
I moved to Jackson and have been here since may of 2007. As a kid my love for the mountains was sparked by several trips out
West, though wasn't fully realized until I moved to Wyoming.
On the rare occasion I'd wake up this winter and 10 inches of snow hadn't fallen, I'd head to the local rock gym where
I fell in love with climbing. In my short climbing career, I have traveled to around Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah pushing myself
to improve on the rock. The strength I have gained at Mountain Athlete, both mentally and physically, has proved to be priceless
in the mountains. This unique gym will undoubtedly continue to help me achieve the goals I have set for myself on the rock
and snow.
